Mr. Gardner made a short film, I Could Hear You All The Way Down The Hall.  He then made a couple of features: Clarence and Angel (2nd Prize and a Humanity Award at the Locarno Film Festival) and King James Version.  He wrote a spec-screenplay, Hyena which was retitled Le Crie Du Coeur and won 2nd Prize at the Venice and Berlin Film Festivals.  This lead to Mr. Gardner working for 2 years with European and North African filmmakers on their screenplays.  He returned to the US and co-founded LA PLAYWRIGHTS LAB and had several playwrights’ plays produced.  Mr. Gardner co-wrote an indie film, Wedding Palace (1st prize in the Chinese and CineGear Festivals – Paramount Studios).  He worked as a producer/writer on the web series Officers.
