Ratidzo Mambo is a Film, Theatre, TV and Voice Over Artist who was born in Zimbabwe. In 2000, she landed her first Lead Role as Linda Karombo in Zimbabwe’s top grossing Feature Film YELLOW CARD directed by the award winning John Riber of NERIA and MORE TIME.
Since its debut the film had a successful Broadcast and International Film Festival Circuit winning awards along its journey: People’s Choice Award – Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF), July 2000; Best Music Award – Southern Africa Film Festival (SAFF), Zimbabwe, September 2000; Jury Award – Pan African Film Festival, Los Angeles, CA, February 2001; Best Feature from Southern Africa Region – Pan African Broadcast & Heritage Award (PABHA), 2001; Best Children’s Film – XVI Black International Cinema, Berlin, 2001; Exemplary Media Created to Improve the Human Condition – Council on Foundations Film & Video Festival, USA, 2001; Best Actor – Festival of Kourougba, Morocco, 2002; and Innovation in Youth Communication Award, ICASA Film Festival, Nigeria, 2005.
Ratidzo relocated to Australia where she obtained a Bachelor of Film, TV and Media and then later studied Drama at the prestigious 16th Street Drama School in Melbourne, Australia. In 2004 she landed her first Australian TV recurring role on WICKED SCIENCE 2 for Channel Ten Australia. She then went on to debut on the Australian Stage in Martin Crimps play, CRUEL AND TENDER with the Melbourne Theatre Company.
Her other notable Australian TV and Film credits include: NEIGHBOURS, 10 TERRORISTS, HAPPY SUNDAES and THE LEGEND MAKER which recently premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival in August 2014. After relocating to Los Angeles, Ratidzo performed in the Title Role of the sold out show LEFT TO TELL during the Hollywood Fringe Festival. She recently appeared on GLEE’S 100th Episode opposite Gwyneth Paltrow.
Her US Film credits include: NZARA ’76, YARD SALE, FASHION FAIR and AMERICAN DAY. Currently, she is working on her new Comedy Web Series, #MOMS which she co-created, co-wrote and Stars in playing multiple roles. #MOMS recently screened at the Zimbabwean International Film Festival in October 2014.
Besides being an accomplished Actress, Ratidzo also worked in Distribution for an Australian based company, World Wide Entertainment for 7 years, which relocated to Instanbul, Turkey. During her transition from Australia to the US she consulted for Switch Entertainment Australia and Big Media based in New York for Broadcast and Inflight content in Africa and the Americas.
She was the International Business Manager at World Wide Entertainment in 2004, a Production and Distribution Company specialising in the creation of factual content for the global market. Ratidzo managed the Distribution, Marketing and Sales Strategy for media content within Africa, North and South America by establishing and maintaining a large volume of partnerships with major cable channels, public broadcasters, DVD companies, Inflight Entertainment and the surge of new media based companies.
In 2009 she was promoted to both Senior International Business Manager and Senior Team Leader and continued to manage the strategy for Content Distribution into her Territories: Africa and North America. Along with her Teams Territories, in the Middle East, East European, Russia and Greece. Where she was responsible for all Sales and Productions into these regions.
Recently, she was integral with the Content and Channel strategy for the launch of Nigeria’s new pay channel Montage Cable Network in Nigeria.
