Charlie Charles

Charlie Charles was born and raised in Apartheid South Africa. Upon graduating successfully from the University of Cape Town, Charlie was chosen to represent her country in an international creative dance symposium in Zermatt, Switzerland. Charlie was awarded the prestigious ‘Best Actress Vita Award’ for her role in the theater production of ‘Kat ‘n the Kings’.

Having toured places Like Hong Kong, India, Europe, Germany, The Middle East, Greece, Rome and Spain as a singer/dancer/actress has allowed Charlie the freedom to be open-minded about her art and creativity. The dream of Hollywood is now a reality for this Cape Town native where she is working with some of the best in the Music Industry including: Singer/comedian Wayne Brady, Ghanaian Superstar Rocky Dawuni, Darrell Crooks, MC Hammer, Jamie Fox and long time MJ Producer John Barnes. Singing the American National Anthem at the Rosebowl for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and for the Vatican in Rome, are just two of the many humbling experiences for Charlie. Including her single ‘Dreams’ released on the Ubiquity Record Label, Charlie and her band have just released their first music video directed by Rodney Charles and self-titled EP ‘Hear&Now’, which is presently available through iTunes and Cd Baby. She has taught and choreographed for teenage music sensation ’BK’ and can be seen starring in ‘The Disciple’, her first American Feature Film and ‘Person to Person’ by Wim Wenders.
